Entitled couple stole my premium plane seat but I taught them a lesson
I was comfortably settled in my aisle seat enjoying the extra legroom, when a couple rudely approached. The woman, exuding entitlement, demanded, “You need to switch seats with me. I messed up the booking and won’t sit away from my husband.”
Meanwhile, a flight attendant who witnessed the entire situation approached OP and told her that she had been tricked by the couple who were in fact both assigned to row 12.
However, instead of making a scene, OP reported the incident to the chief purser without fuss.
After reviewing the situation, the airline offered OP to get back to her seat or to accept a compensation of frequent flyer miles, enough to upgrade her next three flights. She chose the latter and was in fact satisfied with the outcome, knowing she turned the situation in her favor.
As the flight was coming to an end, the purser confronted the couple and exposed their deceit in front of the rest of the passengers.
The couple, who weren’t even married but apparently had an affair, were escorted to the back of the plane and informed that they would be placed on a no-fly list.
When the plane landed and the passengers were instructed to leave the aircraft, all eyes were on the couple who were humiliated.
OP was happy for her little victory and proud of how she had handled the situation.
