It was a sunny Saturday, and I was cruising down the freeway with my wife. Music was blasting, and everything felt perfect\u2014until it didn\u2019t. Suddenly, I remembered I needed to check something on my phone.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy are you pulling over?\u201d my wife asked, confused.<\/p>\n

\u201cHand me my phone!\u201d I replied, my voice filled with urgency.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re on the freeway!\u201d she exclaimed, wide-eyed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHand. Me. My. PHONE!\u201d I insisted, feeling a sense of impending doom if I didn\u2019t check it immediately.<\/p>\n

She glanced at the cars whizzing by and sighed. \u201cOkay, but this is a terrible idea!\u201d<\/p>\n

As I pulled over to the shoulder, I fumbled for my phone, ready to check my social media updates. But just then, a squirrel dashed across the road, causing a car to swerve wildly.<\/p>\n

\u201cSee? This is exactly why we don\u2019t pull over on the freeway!\u201d my wife said, shaking her head.<\/p>\n

I finally got my phone in hand and turned to her with a sheepish grin. \u201cYou know, I didn\u2019t even remember what I needed to check. I just wanted an excuse to stop and grab a snack!\u201d<\/p>\n

She rolled her eyes. \u201cYou mean to tell me we could\u2019ve just waited until the next exit for a snack?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYep!\u201d I chuckled. \u201cBut at least we have a good story now, right?\u201d<\/p>\n
