Writer Liana Satenstein alerted her Substack readers about the listing, which claims the dress was worn by Melania and later bought by the current owner in 2010 for $70,000. However, doubts about its authenticity have slowed interest; a source told WWD the real dress remains with Melania at Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n
The seller admitted altering the dress to fit her own measurements, changing parts of the original design.<\/p>\n
