On a recent Monday morning, workers at a Houston\u00a0mechanic shop<\/a>\u00a0arrived at work and saw something they didn\u2019t expect. Cowering in the corner, there was a basset hound. There had been storms raging in the area all weekend, and in an act of desperation, she\u2019d found shelter in their store. And she wasn\u2019t alone \u2014 she\u2019d just given birth to a litter of babies.<\/p>\n

The workers called Caitie Evers of\u00a0Caitie\u2019s Foster Fam<\/a>\u00a0to come help. When she arrived, the\u00a0mama and her babies<\/a>\u00a0were in rough shape. They were hungry, dirty and covered in fleas. Thanks to Evers, though, that was the last time they would spend the night on the streets. She wasted no time taking them into her home and making them comfortable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
