Engagements are supposed to be joyful, celebrated moments \u2014 filled with excitement, hugs, and of course, congratulations. But for me, one of the happiest days of my life turned into a painful reminder that not everyone shows love the same way.<\/p>\n
When my now-fianc\u00e9 proposed, I was on cloud nine. We called our families right away, shared the news on social media, and planned a small dinner to celebrate together.<\/p>\n
At the gathering, everyone was smiling, hugging us, and offering their best wishes \u2014 except for one side of the family.<\/p>\n
My fianc\u00e9\u2019s siblings had brought thoughtful gifts \u2014 champagne, a beautiful card signed by all of them, even a few small tokens to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n
