His life had only just begun, but things were already looking [da.rk] for one little dog in Florida.
[Du.mped] in the night on the back porch of the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society PAWS, the tiny puppy endured [near-fr.ee.zing] temperatures before staffers found him the next morning. Thanks to the kindness of one policeman, he’ll never be alone again.

Officer Marcus Montgomery SHARE: She brings me this little guy, and he’s chill, no whining, no barking, just chill, wrote Montgomery on image-sharing site Imgur. So I get to hold him and he immediately curls up in my arms.

Montgomery and his girlfriend fostered and adopted the pup, a process they have experience with, having previously taken in a pit bull named Vader from PAWS.

And, along with his new big brother, the rescued puppy will be getting an appropriately Star Wars-inspired new name.
