On a recent Monday morning, workers at a Houston mechanic shop arrived at work and saw something they didn’t expect. Cowering in the corner, there was a basset hound. There had been storms raging in the area all weekend, and in an act of desperation, she’d found shelter in their store. And she wasn’t alone — she’d just given birth to a litter of babies.
The workers called Caitie Evers of Caitie’s Foster Fam to come help. When she arrived, the mama and her babies were in rough shape. They were hungry, dirty and covered in fleas. Thanks to Evers, though, that was the last time they would spend the night on the streets. She wasted no time taking them into her home and making them comfortable.
“Mama girl is the absolute sweetest, and she really worked hard to save her puppies,” Evers said in a TikTok.
She decided to name the mama and all her puppies after different kinds of cars. She chose the name Bentley for the mom and Rover, Jaguar, Porsche, Audi, Mustang, Lincoln and Ford for all her babies.
The first thing Evers did with Bentley and her babies in her care was give them a nice bath. After their spa treatment, they already looked good as new.
Over the next few months, Bentley and all the puppies flourished. The babies grew, becoming more and more energetic and adorable with each passing day.
